QUESADILLA — is a dish consisting of tortilla and various fillings. Traditionally, as a filling in quesadilla only cheese is used , but you can cook with tomatoes, mushrooms, chicken, beef, potatoes, beans and anything else that comes to hand. The difference between quesadilla and other similar dishes is that we do not wrap the filling in quesadilla , but fold tortilla in half and cut it into three or four parts.
There is a variant of quesadilla, in which two tortillas are used, between which there is a filling, like a sandwich. The dish is served sliced. This dish can be served with a side dish, sauces, spices. It can be: vegetable salad, classic guacamole sauce, coriander, chili pepper, salsa sauce.
Recipe
The most common way to cook this Mexican dish is chicken quesadilla
Step 1:
Make a chicken minced meat and fry it with little oil for 15 minutes.
Step 2:
Peel the tomatoes and dice.
Step 3:
Grate the cheese.
Step 4:
Fry mushrooms with onions with little oil on another pan (about 10 minutes).
Step 5:
Add tomatoes and fried mushrooms to the minced meat, mix, add salt, pepper and continue to fry for about 3 more minutes.
Step 6:
Put cheese on half the tortilla and put the minced meat with tomatoes and mushrooms on top.
Step 7:
Cover with the second half of the tortilla the whole filling and fry each side in a dry frying pan. Cut the quesadillas into 2-4 parts and serve.
